Constructed of silvered tombak, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a mobile swastika, overlaid by a swooping Luftwaffe eagle clutching the stems of lightning bolts, the reverse with two visible rivets securing the obverse eagle in position, with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked C. E. JUNCKER, BERLIN, measuring 43. 88 mm
