Bavaria, Kingdom. A Landwehr Long Service Badge, I Class, C.1890 United Republic of both covered with a flap(Landwehr Dienstauszeichnung I. Klasse). Instituted 21 January 1876 by King Ludwig II. (1876 1918 issue). Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Maltese Cross, the obverse with a central raised monogram of King Ludwig II, the reverse with a raised number 20 in Roman numerals, unmarked, measuring 38. 49 mm (w) x 40. 32 mm (h), weighing 23. 3 grams, in better than very fine condition.
