and 4 5/8" in diameter at base

The handle is elk horn, with warmly worn brass on either end, and a click to the locking mechanism at the base satisfying locks the blade in place once extended. It's seen use for sure but is great looking still, and feels terrific to hold and use. Wear all over but overall in good shape. I
