Made from heavy burlap cloth, this is a German WWII Issue Army Ration Grain Sack, measuring approximately 43"H x 27"W when flat. A steady supply of food was vital to any fighting force, and sacks were the preferred way of transporting grain, which has not changed much since WWII. The bag has a large stenciled Wehrmachtadler (Armed forces eagle) on one side, while the other has a stencil identifying its correct usage
