The Cuirass is steel with brass facings and is fitted with ornate shoulder straps

and the locking pin for the loading gate is also worn

but more of an economic savings if Case were to use a stamping die they had in use at the time that did not have the “XX” in it

the rationing was killing everybody but still morale was high in British Isles

This appears to be a 1950 flying helmet similar in appearance to a HGU 16A P style helmet. It comes with retractable tint visor, the interior liner is missing and some foam was added post war. Size of the shell will accommodate a US 7 head. 1958 dated Original U. S. WWII USAAF Mae West B 5 Aviator Pneumatic Life Vest and a 1952 dated embroidered scarf.
