Both elegant and very solid and sturdy

What appears to be a scratch over one eyebrow I do not believe is damage but rather just an unglazed area original to the piece

Curious Tiny Hand-painted Porcelain Asian Wise Man on Mound stacked wood frames So when I spotted thisI am quite smitten with this tiny, gorgeously hand painted little porcelain man rising from this curious round, unglazed base, but I don't know anything about him. I assume with his bald head, long beard, and colorful kimono, that he represents a Buddhist monk but I really have no idea of his age, and have not found another quite like him. He is certainly quite finely painted and feels to me like a pretty special little piece and surely perching him
