Just acquired at a recent military show! This is a lovely Imperial German WWI Era Hanger or Short sword, as was often used during hunting, or possibly as a close combat weapon. In form it has a full sized brass hilt with a "P" guard, and only the blade and scabbard are smaller than normal. The brass hilt is a "Dove Head" style, and has a lovely shark skin over wood grip, bound with three pairs of twisted brass wire,
