This an excellent example of an early WWII Iron Cross First Class 1939, with a Magnetic core, flat design, and straight pin attachment. It does not have any maker marking, which is common for these early design Iron Crosses. However the hinge, pin, and hook style almost certainly attribute this example to Wilhelm Deumer of Ldenscheid. This company manufactured Iron Crosses throughout the war, and their style is
