I think the color on these--yellow on one side and red on the other

Quite stable and sound

which I purchased at the estate sale of an avid art collector in Kansas City

a few very very minor stains/toning

SOLD Curious Antique Relief Carved Pine Round with Painted Birds and Vines parts but I would say "God"Between the birds and the star and the color, my guess is that this carving in Pennsylvania Dutch. And with a good amount of wear around the perimeter, suggesting a good lot of handling, and the birds facing in every direction, I might guess it served a functional purpose, perhaps as a lid (or as a print block?) I am not sure. The wood is old, pine I believe, and the manner of the hand carving makes it feel like my favorite sort of drawing. Highly
