The surface ranges from a shiny midnight blue to a dark mossy green to a stony matte black with a terrific texture

And the patina on the old brass studs forming this wonderful star at its center, too. Plus some old iron nails forming a sort of zig zag to one side of that star, repairing a tear to the leather very long ago one can see a bit of the brown fabric showing through
