This is a very nice example of a War Merit Cross KvK 1st Class in Silver (without swords), manufactured by Klein & Quenzer A. G. of Idar Oberstein in Western Germany. This early war example in cast tombac alloy is in great shape, still retaining most of the original silvering on both sides. There is some wear through on the wreath and on the edges, but there are still sharp details to contours and pebbles to
