This is an unusual find: Genuine Vietnam War Era U. S. Army M7 bayonet fighting knife with original M8A1 scabbard for the M16 with the original repack box from 1977. This knife style bayonet was based on the M4 bayonet for the M1 Carbine, which was itself based on the M3 fighting knife. Following the Vietnam War, the bayonets that were unissued were serviced back to factory original condition, wrapped in paper and
