Specifically produced in England for the North American Fur Trade, this is a Flintlock Trade pistol intended for the use of the Trappers and the Native American population as well. The barrel has British proof marks, most likely from Birmingham, on the left side of the barrel. The lock plate is marked faintly with ASHMORE WARRANTED. The pistol has all brass mounts, and has some simple engraving on the lock plate. The
