I don't know much of anything about this chair and how it came to be

and "the strength of sin is the law" written on a banner swirling around Eve like a snake

Much hammered and thrown around but all the better for it--works and looks great

with beautiful ripples to the surface  right around them too

Good condition with a few tears and light wear as documented--see detailed photos

I know that this antique shield was made as the escucheon for a door latch. (Now, seems like a good thing to hitch the dog leash to!) I find those incised stars (each one slightly different from the next) and hatched lines really beautiful. And a gorgeous patina too. Heavy for its size, I though at
