Initially released as a standalone single in the summer of 1979, Boys Dont Cry became the title track of the US edition of the bands debut album, Three Imaginary Boys. The song went on to become one of the bands signature tracks and achieved international success in 1986, when Robert Smith re recorded the vocal and remixed the backing track. Ltd
