One of a Kind. This is a very interesting German engineering device which was captured and brought back to the United States by Captain Henry C. Paul Jr., Corps of Engineers. We havent found anything on his service, making this a great research project. The device, which we believe to be a level, was manufactured by Siemens & Halske of Berlin, a company still existing well into the 1960s. The device has a large slot in the bottom for a
