Called in German a Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Silber, this genuine badge is constructed of silvered zinc. Over time, the silverign can wear and flake off, showing the oxidized base metal, which is zinc. The front of this badge still retains a good amount of the silvering, though it has flaked off or oxidized in many areas. The rear side however has almost all of the original silvering, and really looks great. The
