Small Carved Veiled Nude carved soapstone sculpture 5" diameter x 6" tallI dont know anything about this carving, which I found in Maine, but its quite finely done, the wood looks to me like walnut, and shes got an Art Nouveau Arts and Crafts feel to me. I of course like her contradictionslooking a bit like the Virgin Mary even as she stands nude before usor, perhaps she is Eve herself. 5 1 2 t x 1 1 16 w x 15 16 d.
