These I do believe are just about the most spectacular whimsies I've seen

I found in it Massachusetts and it wouldn't surprise me to learn the house and site depicted was in Gloucester or Rockport on Cape Ann

On reverse in pencil is a note describing the subject of the drawing as Miss Gaby Fabre and noting the names of her parents

Colorful Old Hooked Round Mat 1911 postcard I believe most likely GermanThe puzzle piece like all over composition of patches of color on this old hooked mat just make me happy, each one responsive to the shape of the others around it, making it look a bit like a well used painters palette. I might hang this one directly on the wall like a painting, pretty satisfying though if ever there were a cheery table mat for a teapot, this might be it! 14" in diameter. Early 20th century I believe. Overall good condition, with no
