This fine rifle is in . 38 40 caliber (marked . 38 cal with a 24" round barrel and full length magazine tube. Features the classic front sight and "semi buckhorn" rear adjustable sight. The serial number is 154768A denoting the year of manufacture as 1884. The engraving on the top of the barrel is somewhat faint due to wear and light peppering: WINCHESTER'S REPEATING ARMS.
