Pistols of this type were commonly found being used by the Ottoman "Barbary Pirates", and they are extremely attractive and just great decoration. The barrel is 12 1 2", with an overall length of 20", making this pistol most imposing. The lovely quality brass butt plate is heavily decorated, possibly of European origin. It features a faux ramrod, broken at front, under the barrel, which is to be expected as the
