This is a genuine U. S. Civil War era Spencer Repeating Carbine. All parts completely correct with a most of the original finish worn down to a peppery patina. The stock is in good antique condition, though does show wear. A very interesting Spencer Model 1860 Civil War Carbine with Serial number of 19256 indicating early 1864 manufacture. From Spencer's initial order for 7,500 Carbines starting at serial number
