Some dryness/cracking to the surface but overall  good condition and wired on the back for hanging

but also for the moody manner of the painting

Gay chicken Some rusting on the sidesThis one is heavy with the weight of all these metal "bag plates" I believe snap closures for the flap of a purse or the like. I just love old sample cards like this, especially much handled ones with handwritten numbers and notes on them. This one was produced by the United States Fastener Company located on Milk Street in Boston whose work clearly involved holding all sorts of things together! c. 1920s 40s I believe, with a very satisfying reverse
