I do imagine quite a lot of found treasures have been stashed inside of this one

I was happy to open it to find a bunch of old drawing charcoal inside--and somehow that blackest black inside the olive green tin with black sans serif font feels just right and resonant to me

who I think may have been responsible for the beginning section in where are a series  of neatly transcribed poems about seashells and spring days

but I believe this would have been used by a blacksmith doing fine work

This is not a hand colored engraving, it is an original, very finely executed ink and watercolor drawing, and my photos do it no justice; the color and detail is just glorious!
