This is a scarce WWI Italian officers uniform to a Sottotenente serving in the Aosta Brigade, which consisted of the 5th & 6th Infantry Regiments. The red & black striped collar tabs indicate that the wearer was part of the Aosta Brigade. His rank is denoted by the single bullion stars on his cuffs. The uniform has six buttons on the front which attach into the other flap instead of on top, to hide the buttons as is
