Man Giveth Up the Ghost, Mid 19th Century Sunderland Lustreware Wall Plaque carved spinner green and whiteI found another of these 19th c Sunderland lustreware transferware plaques not long ago (that one reading Thou God Seest Me) and went back to my source this week to scoop up one more. I'd never before seen one bearing this phrase, and the combination of its content with the somewhat ghostly feeling appearance (as if in the process of deteriorating to ultimately disappear forever) of the transfer lettering seemed just right. The phrase comes from the
