Super Painterly and Clever Antique Miniature Fourth of July Celebration Slate from Slatington, PA chair 151/4 x 11 1/2 paperI spotted this one from a distance in a case and made a bee line for it the combination of the lush red white and blues of the taped perimeter in combination with the matte gray of the slate makes it to my eye a most gorgeous thing; a found painting if I ever saw one. It took me a minute to decipher the printed text on the reverse, but it reads: Fourth of July Celebration Slatington PA, with just the year worn enough not to be sure of (my guess is
