and in 1922 they began stamping each piece with the circular Jugtown Ware stamp

Mexican Folk Art Hare with Birds Candleholder carved wooden moccasins I found this one atI'm always on the hunt for vintage Mexican folk art animals of any sort, and all the better if they are candleholders, too! I really love this hare with its tall ears, painted whiskers and smiling red mouth, plus this pair of sweet little yellow birds riding on its back. The red and green color scheme of its base and blanket make it perfect for the holiday table though I'd keep it there year round! 6" t x 6 1 2" l x 2 3 4" w. Great vintage condition,
